KINOE was founded in 1996. Since then it has raised over £700,000 to send to educational projects in India and Nepal. So far we have helped over 4,000 under privileged children gain an education.
We have four voluntary trustees and one part-time administration manager. We aim to keep our overheads low so that we are able to direct funds to the projects we support in the most effective way. The trustees and administrator are closely associated with the projects, visiting them whenever possible or ensuring that evaluations are carried out regularly. KINOE has carefully selected projects which we feel will make a sustainable impact on the local community.

KINOE currently supports three projects.
Since 1996 KINOE has helped to fund an inspiring educational project in India called Akanksha. It reaches around 4,600 children from the slum communities of Mumbai and Pune.
In Nepal, KINOE sends funds to the Lo Kunfen School in the remote region of Mustang close to the Tibetan border. Established with KINOE funds in 2000, it aims to give a basic education to children in need. It also trains them as amchis, or practitioners of Tibetan medicine, enabling them to return to their communities to provide what is often the only source of health care health available.
KINOE also sponsors children at the Sapta Gandaki School in Kathmandu, Nepal, a school which gives scholarships to children of broken families resulting from the political conflict.
KINOE raises funds in many ways:
